BELIEVE that this plant will give off good, positive vibes and goldfish-shaped tubular red and yellow flowers that resemble the plant’s namesake fish. In addition, he has gorgeous trailing leaves which make for a dramatic cascading display. Here's a fun fact for you:
The famous taxonomer Carl Linnaeus, created the genus name Columnea after the botanist Fabio Colonna. The genus name gloriosa speaks to the goldfish plant’s glorious, bright blooms.
General Care
Sunlight : Give him bright indirect light.
Water : Dry out to about 75% before watering. Do not overwater. Check all the way down to the roots, not just the top 2 inches. Use room temperature filtered water and then water thoroughly. Never let him sit in soggy soil.
Food : Use a general houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength once a month during the spring and summer. Never apply fertilizer to dry soil. Always make sure the soil is damp before feeding your plant.
Planter : Goldfish comes potted in a white ceramic pot with our custom-blended soil. Ceramic pot may vary but will be white.
